From Zero Japanese to a JFT-Basic Certificate

Picture this: eight weeks from now, you can read hiragana on a sign and greet someone in Japanese without stopping to think. That is where PCT's Japanese Language Review Program starts.

How It Works

Your Path to JFT-Basic

  1. Step 1

    A1 Basic Course

    Duration:
    8 weeks, 160 hours total
    Schedule:
    Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

    What you'll learn

    • Hiragana & Katakana
    • Basic Kanji
    • Everyday greetings
    • Simple conversation
    • Telling time

    Textbook: Irodori Starter (A1)

    Outcome: Official PCT Certificate of Completion

  2. Checkpoint

    Interview and Selection

    After A1 ends, your teacher reviews how you did in class. Students who perform well are invited to an interview with the school administration.

  3. Step 3

    A2 Advanced Course

    Duration:
    10 weeks, 200 additional hours
    Schedule:
    Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

    • Situational conversation
    • Interview preparation
    • JFT-Basic mock tests
    • Final exams

  4. Step 4

    JFT-Basic Certification Exam

    Once you finish A2, you take the official JFT-Basic exam — an internationally recognized test of your Japanese ability.

Eligibility

Who Can Join This Program

This program is open to PCT students, PCT alumni, and walk-in applicants from other schools. All requirements below must be submitted at the time of enrollment. We cannot process your enrollment without them.

PCT Students & Alumni

  • Valid ID

That's all you need — we already have your records on file.

From Another School

  • Valid ID
  • TESDA NC2 certificate
  • Honorable Dismissal from your previous school

Not Yet a College Graduate

  • Valid ID
  • Barangay clearance

All applicants go through a short interview before the class starts. This is to make sure the class fits your level and your schedule.

Incomplete requirements at the time of enrollment means we cannot reserve your slot.

Things to Remember

Before you enroll

  • Your ₱9,000 covers A1 only.
  • A2 is a separate program for selected students. It is not included in your ₱9,000.
  • If you are not selected for A2, you keep your A1 training and your PCT Certificate.
  • Class size is capped at 20 students.
